KEEP YOUR BIKE UPRIGHT . . . . wander. get lost. get back. keep it up.
For years we traveled with our bikes. Loaded with gear. After riding all day and finding ourselves at some of the most beautiful campsites ... we didn't want to lay our bike (and all of that gear) on the ground. So we started finding trees, tables, picnic benches, fences ... anything to keep it up and keep it handy.
The more remote you get, the less spots there is to lean. You end up with all your gear on the ground. The more remote you get, the more dramatic (and often MUDDY) the ground gets. And bikes don't want to be grounded! Hence, Bike Belay was BORN.
A simple tool, to keep your bike upright. Too keep it from scratching, toppling, mudding out. To support the in and out of getting in your bags.
Of course, everyone finds their own system, but here is how we recommend getting started:
1. Get ONE Seat Hook attached to a seat rail.
2. Connect the rope down to the Ground Strike (the stake you pushed into the ground with your foot.)
3. Use the Tensioner to tighten the rope in place. You should be hands-free when one rope is locked in!
4. Do the same to the other side so your bike is secure and stable.
